Today’s calendar had just one meeting: the final alignment with Michael Lang, who will take over SAP Development Learning on January 1st. It feels good to hand over the team in excellent hands. π
I started to create greeting cards with my best pictures and texts re-mixed from insightful quotes in 2020. My family’s image in the Swabian Jura close to Stuttgart at a beautiful summer evening embodies what gave me energy in 2020. π
I sent it to my dear friends, esteemed colleagues, and respected companions as part of my season’s greetings three weeks ago.
I’m amazed that over 80 ππ½ββοΈ of them have openly answered the four questions included in it:
- Please share 1-2 activities that you have done the first time and enjoyed in 2020.
- What is one need from your daily life that is looking for a better solution in 2021?
- How would you describe me with three hashtags?
- What is one strength that I should apply more in future?
Thank you so much for your input for my sabbatical’s activities! I’ve not imagined what a great pleasure it would be to read all the stories, some of them touched me deeply. βΊοΈ
And once you let go and sense the now, the next finds you – just three recent examples, special thank ππ½ goes to:
- Ingo Rauth who invited me to an insightful 7-day “Your Story 2020” reflection journey
- Ingo Hamm for offering me a copy of his new book “True Leadership” which is all about leadership in extreme situations
- Jochen GΓΌrtler for giving me the 21-day “Redesign You” workbook as a present to start my sabbatical
As promised in my season’s message, I’ll donate five euro for each answer I received. Eventually, I went beyond and decided to donate 120 Euro π° for each of the following non-profit organisations:
- Amnesty International
- DKMS
- Friends of the Earth Germany
- One Dollar Glasses
- Plan International
- Dein Sternenkind
You change the world by sharing kindness and connecting deeply with people around you!
Felix Harling
πππππ I wish you and your family a Happy New Year!
